About 1 in 200 of the actor names we work on can be turned into a single word anactagram. All those actors are listed on this page.

Now, just to give you an idea of the multimedia uses of Anactagrams, here is a little quiz. See if you can resolve the Anactagrams listed below for the name of each of the actors whose Anactagrams are depicted. Every actor in the list has a one or two-word name, such as Jane Doe, but their name has been turned into a single word Anactagram. A movie the actor or actress appeared in is given as a clue. If you are stuck, refer to an online cast list directory for the movie and try matching the Anactagram to the actor/actress that way.

What's in it for you? Other than the fun and challenge, if you email us at least 10 correct answers, you get a free PDF copy of the puzzle book: Anactagram First Volume - 100 Movie Star Puzzles. If you email us at least 20 correct answers, you will get $10 off an annual subscription to the Daily Challenge. Please contact us with your answers.

Those puzzles obviously varied in difficulty, for different reasons, such as:

  • whether of a current, former or deceased actor
  • date of the older movie title clues
  • whether or not we gave you their most famous role as the movie clue
  • level of popularity or obscurity
  • typecast in a particular genre you may not be too familiar with
  • laughably obvious

We hope this little quiz gave you some idea as to just how much fun Anactagrams can be.

By the way, only one of the 11,000+ actors we have created anactagrams for has ever produced two single word anactagrams for a single actor. Did you find those two anactagrams on this page? Who is the actor? Tell us.
